Yaaaasssss Queen! Pageant season is here and I am so excited! We have many veterans and also new blood throwing their hat into the ring. I love hearing all of their fantastic ideas to capture the crown.
We at Miss Gay America are looking for the best that America has to offer: bright well rounded men that transform themselves into seamless women that express themselves through the art of female impersonation.
One of the most asked questions I get is What is Miss Gay America looking for. The truth is that we want for you to show us what we is it that we want. My one piece of advice is to be creative. We are looking for a fantastic creative force for the next Miss Gay America.
My first preliminary will be Miss Gay New York which will be held at the Copacabana in Times Square on March 19. This is the title I hold close to my heart because it's the one that led me, together with Thomas John, to win Miss Gay America. We welcome you to attend. I will be joined by ten of my sisters and former Miss Gay America and Mister Gay America, Judas Elliot.
My journey as Miss Gay America is just beginning and I can't wait to meet, work, and help all of the contestants, and promoters, and to greet all the fans around the country. Good luck to all the contestants!

December 2018
On behalf of the Miss America System, I would like to wish everyone a happy holiday season. This is the season of giving and so I think it’s appropriate to announce that the Excellence Foundation will be teaming up with Cheer New York to raise money for the Anti Violence Project.
Cheer New York is a diverse group of LGBTQ+ and ally cheerleaders who use their athletic and philanthropic abilities to inspire and encourage audiences wherever they perform and raise money for a charity they choose yearly.
I have two drag daughters in Cheer New York and have many friends in the team. I know that together as a team we will be able to make a change and benefit the Anti Violence Project, an amazing organization that supports and empowers LGBTQ+ and HIV-affected survivors of violence through counseling and advocacy, combined with their proactive response to the crisis of violence through community education and outreach.
During my entire rein Cheer New York and the Excellence Foundation will be collecting, raising and cheering for money for the Anti Violence Project. I would like to encourage everyone reading this blog to support our efforts and help us make a difference in the lives of the survivors of violence that the Anti Violence Project serves.
I wish you all the best this holiday season and may it be full of love and glitter.

November 2018
It is an honor to come to you as Miss Gay America 2019. Welcome to my blog. In this first entry I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Andora Tetee. I have been doing drag for 19 years and I have lived in New York City for almost 11 years. I started my drag career in Baltimore MD where the drag community helped me to become the drag queen I am today. Early on my drag career I learned about the Miss America Pageant system. In Baltimore, I met Sabrina White who became my drag mother, Joanna Blue (drag grandmother), Jason Kueberth (drag father) and Roger Dimick (promoter of Miss Gay Maryland). Sabrina White would later come to be Miss Gay America 2002.
Shortly after I captured the title of Miss Gay Maryland, I decided it was time for me to move to the New York City were the big lights were calling my name. And so I made the move from Baltimore to the Big Apple in 2008. In New York I put my drag career on hold and chose to focused in my business as an event decorator and designer. I started my company "Michael Collins Decor". Also, it was in New York in 2012, without expecting it, that I meet Luis Romero, my husband.
Miss Gay America was always present in my mind as a goal I wanted to achieve and through out this time away from drag I have been planning and plotting my comeback because I was sure that some day I was going to succeed in becoming MGA . From my earlier attempts to gaining the title, I learned that I couldn't do it all by myself. I was lucky enough to be surrounded by extremely talented people as friends, who helped me achieve my dream. My promoter Thomas John. My friend Michael Vandermause who produced my music for the talent competition and also danced for me, Kiet Thai, who has art directed, photographed and helped brand my image. Alberto Arias, the choreographer of my talent. Coco Vega my gown designer. All my dancers: Ethan Kirschbaum, Tony Suhadoinik, Fernando Duarte, Valton Jackson, Jesse Houisington and Joseph A. Hernandez.

So may people have asked me how I felt when I heard my name the night I was crowned. I felt a flood of emotions coming to me. I didn't know whether to cry or scream or pass out! I was so excited, my entire drag career flashed through my mind and finally I was so relieved that the hard work has finally come to fruition.
I am very grateful to Michael and Rob for giving us the amazing platform that MGA is, to express ourselves as female impersonators.
