Contestant Apparel For The Final Night Opening Number
All contestant will be required to wear a pure white flowing  full length gown (not off white/winter white/cream or beige but white).  No rhinestones of any kind on the gown should be on the gown… appliqués are acceptable in silver or white only… Contestants are allowed to wear crystal or AB jewelry only, no color rhinestones of any kind will be allowed. Hair jewelry is not acceptable. You are allowed to wear as much jewelry as you’d like, however the look is to be very classic and elegant not over done. Shoes may be white clear or rhinestone in crystal or AB. Hair may be in any style, but keeping in mind that the look is to be both classy and elegant.

A portion of the opening number (with Miss Gay America 2010 Coco Montrose) will be a story told through dance, therefore, any dancers (of the contestants or entertainers/formers etc.) who are interested  in being a part of the opening number must contact Coco Montrese at  cocomontresemga2010@yahoo.com for details… Contact must be made on or before October 01, 2010. Dancers selection will depend on the vacant roles that need to be filled and due to the details of the opening number,  most of the wardrobe will be provided, with the exception of dance shoes and undergarments such as dance belts and leotards, unitards and dance tights.  Being  athletic and flexible is a plus and will be heavily considered in the selection on the on-stage dancers for the opening number.  Intense make up will also be involved.

This “Cirque Du Soleil’” style opening will tell a story of MGA history and a young princess who learns the path to excellence through obstacles and roadblock but who encounters sisters who’ve come before her to help her along the way.

Additionally, for the opening number, I am asking for 1 promoter or representative from each state and regional preliminary other than your contestants to wear white… (with no restrictions to participate in the finale’ of the opening this year), in keeping with the Theme “We Are ONE”… promoter participation is strongly encouraged…(minimal rehearsal time will be needed for your participation). Sashes with your preliminary names will be provided, as you will be escorted by a performer at the appropriate time.
